About George's Meat Shop
George's Meat Shop is a Lebanese and Middle Eastern business in the Orléans Village - Chateauneuf neighbourhood of Ottawa. It serves the Ottawa-Gatineau area and Orleans, and its meats are halal.
The shop covers a lot more than its name suggests. In-store butchery and halal meats sit alongside seafood such as fish and shellfish, and a delicatessen with prepared foods. There is an in-store bakery turning out bakery items, sweets and pastries, plus cheese, coffee and tea, nuts, rice, spices, fruits and vegetables. Shelves carry fresh produce, imported foods, fine foods and dry goods.
Catering is available, and the shop offers dine-in and take-out for those who want to eat there or bring food home.
