A correction, a removal, a question about a plan, a story tip, or anything else. A person reads every message.
You may not need us
Four of the five things people write to us about can be done on the site in a couple of minutes.
- Something on a listing is wrongIf the business is yours, claim the listing and edit the details yourself — hours, phone, address, description. It is free and you keep control of it afterwards.
- My business is not listedAdd it. A free listing costs nothing and has no expiry. Check the directory first, because it may already be here waiting to be claimed.
- What does a paid plan include? The pricing page lists what Featured and Storefront add, what they cost, and the questions we get asked most about billing and cancelling.
- I am looking for a business in OttawaAsk the assistant, or use search. Neither is a person, so check anything that matters — but both are faster than waiting on an email from us.
What we can do
- Correct anything on a listing — a wrong address, old hours, a number that rings somewhere else, a business that has closed.
- Remove a listing. Ask, and we will, unless we are required to keep publishing it. You do not have to explain why.
- Sort out an ownership question when someone else holds the listing for your business.
- Answer a privacy request — what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. Free, and set out in the privacy policy.
- Fix a billing problem — a charge you did not expect, a plan that is not showing what it should.
Corrections and removals are free. They always have been, and we will never charge for one.
What we cannot do
- Settle a dispute with a business. We are not a party to what happens between you and a company you found here, and we have no power over them.
- Change a City inspection result. Those are published by the City of Ottawa and we show them unchanged — the City is who to take a correction to.
- Give legal, financial, medical or immigration advice, or recommend one business over another.
- Promise you a place in Google. Nobody can, and anyone who does is selling you something.
- Take a complaint about a business on their behalf. If something here points you at a business that is behaving badly, do tell us — we will look at the listing — but the complaint itself belongs with them or with a regulator.
